Jehu &c.#013: Roadside Picnic & The Revenant Sea, "Their Words Are Lost in the Din of Jets"

When Roadside Picnic's …and yet it moves fucked up iTunes (actual iTunes) a few months ago we knew we had to work with that guy again. Luckily it wasn't long before he was typing a badly punctuated email with an offer we couldn't refuse.

His collaboration with Wizards Tell Lies' Matthew Bower as Roadside Picnic & The Revenant Sea was simply too good for us to pass up. More nuanced than the all-out noise terror of "...and yet it moves", "Their Words Are Lost in the Din of Jets" nevertheless packs a powerful punch. Bursts of static, mangled voices and waves of dystopian drone - fans of our Rejections tape "The Vertical City EP" will find much to enjoy here. The atmosphere created is Tarkovskian - one of creeping decay, as though the very walls of existence are crumbling away to reveal the hidden horrors that make us tick.

Mastered by April Larson, pro-dubbed at Bomb Shop, and featuring stunning artwork by Gareth Coruage "Their Words Are Lost in the Din of Jets" is released on limited edition pink cassette on October 21st.
